Greenply to set up manufacturing facility in Chitoor

Greenply is planning to set up a manufacturing facility in Chitoor in Andhra Pradesh to produce MDF. The company will invest Rs. 3000 million towards the facility which will have a capacity of 600 cu.meters per day. The company is in talks with German Vendors to procure machinery. Besides, the company has plans to set up a veneer-cum-plywood plant in Myanmar which in turn will supply raw material for making MDF. The project is likely to go operational by September 2014.

TNPL plans packaging board unit in Mondipatti

Tamil Nadu Newsprint & Papers Ltd is planning to set up a packaging board unit in Mondipatti village in Kulitharai-Manaparai highway in Trichy district of Tamil Nadu. The plant will have a capacity of 2.0 lakh tpa and it will produce multi-layer double-coated board. Land required for the project is around 989 acres. The project is likely to go operational by 2016.

Shreyans Industries to expand its paper mill in Ahmedagarh

Shreyans Industries Ltd is planning to expand its paper unit in Ahmedgarh village in Sangrur district of Punjab. The project involves expanding writing & printing paper mill from 30000 tpa to 45000 tpa. Land required for the project is available at the existing premises. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 285 million. The plant has already installed captive Co-generation plant of capacity 6 MW (one back pressure steam turbine of 2.5 MW capacity and another extraction cum condensing steam turbine of 3.5 MW capacity).

Delta Papers plans 80 tpd unit in Vendra
