Emami Paper Mills to expand its unit in Balgopalpur

Emami Paper Mills is planning to expand its paper mill in Balgopalpur in Remuna Tehsil Balasore district of Orissa with an investment of Rs. 25000 million. The project involves expanding paper mill from 1,30,000 tpa to 46,00,000 tpa and addition of new wood pulp mill of capacity 600 tpd for paper and board. It also involves expanding the captive power plant from 20 MW to 140 MW. Required coal will be imported and also to be obtained from Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd.

Kohinoor Paper & Newsprint to expand its Falta paper mill

Kohinoor Paper & Newsprint to expand its paper mill in Falta in South 24 Paragnas district of West Bengal with an investment of Rs. 2119 million. The project involves expanding its writing paper unit from 140 tpd to 200 tpd and duplex board plant of 200 tpd, a captive power generation unit of 8 MW. The plant will use imported coal and linkage had been obtained.

GapCon India to set up paper smoothing machine unit in Kolkatta

GapCon GmbH, is setting up a new greenfield unit, the first of its manufacturing base outside Europe in Kalyani Industrial Estate in Kolkatta, West Bengal. The company had signed an MoU with WBIDCC and had been allotted 2 acres of land for Rs.. 25 lakh and is expected to get another 10 acres soon. It is setting up a paper calendar unit (paper smoothing machine) which is likely to go operationally by November 2011.

Hindustan Paper Corp to revive Tuli paper mill

Nagaland Pulp and Paper Co is set to revive its Tuli paper mill with an government aid of Rs. 5524 million. The task had been entrusted to Hindustan Paper Corp and an additional amount of Rs.12000 million has also been made through a second detailed project report but is yet to be sanctioned. The project is expected to be completed within 27 months from the date of approval of second estimate
