Rainbow Papers plan expansion

Rainbow Papers plans expansion of its existing plant in Mehesana by adding Voith made fully automated machine having a capacity of 300 tpd and a 30 MW captive plant, a deinking plant and a pulp mill. It also plans upgradation of existing machineries. The company has tied up funds to the tune of Rs.2400 million through bank finance. Its current capacity stands at 198,000 tonnes per annum of which its paper division accounts for 90,000 tpa and it manufactures different varieties which includes writing and printing paper, newsprint, duplex boards and coated paper and board.

Sree Sakthi Paper Mills plans expansion

Sree Sakthi Paper Mills, the Kochi based paper mill company is investing Rs. 180 million to expand its production capacity to 85,000 tpa. The company which produces Kraft paper for packaging and duplex board has two production units one at Chalakkudy and another in Edyar in Kerala. It has invested high speed pressure formers to improve the quality of duplex board. The expansion programme is likely to be completed by end of April 2010.

Banwari Paper Mills plans expansion of its Rampura plant

Banwari Paper Mills Ltd is planning to expand its Rampura plant in village Rampura in Pargana Kashipur Tehsil in Udamsingh Nagar district of Uttaranchal. The project involves expanding agro based paper mill from 25 tpd to 150 tpd with a chemical recovery plant, a captive power generation unit of 8 MW. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 647 million.

ITC Paper Boards plans expansion of Sarapaka unit

Project Location : Sarapaka, Bhadrachalam, Andhra Pradesh

ITC Paper Boards & Speciality Papers Division is planning to invest Rs. 11000 million to expand its paper and paperboard production in Sarapaka village in Burgampahad Mandal in Bhadrachalam district of Andhra Pradesh. The project involves expanding Paper & Board Production (5,20,000 MTPA to 7,40,000 MTPA) alongwith balancing of pulping lines to achieve 3,50,000 BDTPA of bleached hard wood pulp and adding Multi-fuel fired boiler based Captive Power Plant of 25 MW. It will add 1 paper machine of 2,20,000 tpa and a deinking line capacity of 120 tpd, enhancing evaporation plant from 325 TPH to 450 TPH.

Latest News

The project has received state government approval and environmental clearance is awaited from Union ministry. The company is also thinking to invest in Madhya Pradesh.
